Services

The services Amacebo Consulting offer can be grouped into three core areas:

Project Initiation

Providing guidance on the design of an appropriate project layout in order to gain maximum benefit from project information tools during project implementation

Project Implementation

Assisting clients in the successful rollout and implementation of project control tools and methodologies.

Project Evaluation

Third party evaluation of projects by implementing real time executive project information systems (project dashboards);

Approach

We believe project success will ultimately be contingent upon the project team’s ability to access real-time accurate information on project status by-:

  • Proactive planning and forecasting
  • Project wide implementation of innovative project control models
  • Extended project team relationships and access to project information
  • Continuous innovative project management processes
  • Our approach to project control focuses on three main phases:

Initiation

We help clients to structure an appropriate project layout in order to facilitate the flow and dissemination of project information. Depending on the project characteristics (i.e. scope, complexity, availability expertise, etc.) and planned project structure fit-for-purpose project control tools will be identified.   The emphasis will be on the logic to be before the physical to be (from before function).

Transformation

We help established clients transform their project infrastructure, including both the adoption of innovative project control models and the application of web-based technologies.

Optimisation

We help both start-up and established clients redirect and implement project control processes that are not meeting their expectations.

Detailed analysis of project controls will aim to solve the daily project control problems to include, inter alia.

  • Contracting strategy, and how it relates to project work-breakdown structure
  • Collection of updated project information;
  • Use of historical versus look-ahead information
  • Critical path analysis – and what does it mean for me as project manger
  • Communication of project information
  • Forecasting cost and time to completion
  • Project Earned-value analysis
  • Application, and interpretation of time and cost S-curves.
